NELLI (LOCATED IN AUSTIN) ITALIAN GREYHOUND
Nelli - About one year old, Fawn
Nelli is a very sweet very entergetic little girl. Nelli was intended for showing purposes but unfortunately had an accident two days after she was born that resulted in her having a broken leg at the elbow. Because this happened so young there was no way to fix the leg and it is still deformed today. The injury was at the elbow so the leg is fairly useless to her, but that doesn't slow her down one bit! She uses it to get into cabinets, tell you she wants to be picked up, or reach through small spaces for a treat. She has the most bubbly personality and it is impossible to be in a bad mood around her. Like all I.G's she attacks your face in licking sprees and hates being cold. Nelli seems to like all dog breed, but really does not do well alone. She will whine until either a person comes in or another animal, after discovering this when she was very young she has never been left alone. She was trained to crate as a puppy(it is an extra-large crate so I don't know how she would do in smaller ones), but only for short amounts of time.
Nelli is hyper at times but it usually consists of her tearing around the apartment jumping on all the furniture and occasionally stopping to chew on her sisters leg, these episodes are very short and afterwards she sleeps for hours. Nelli is very cuddly and loves going for car rides so long as she gets to sit on the drivers lap! Nelli requires a lot of attention and affection and if she thinks she needs more she will tell by scratching at your leg and whining until you take a break from your work and snuggle with her for a while. Also, sleeping in the crate or elsewhere is a no go with Nelli, she prefers sleeping under the covers and usually between your legs or on your head with her head draped over your neck.
Nelli has an very sensitive stomach and the food I found best for her is royal canine small breed for sensitive stomachs with increased digestibility, treats that she does okay with are bill jack little bit treats.

PETEY - WHIPPET
Here’s Petey!!! Petey is a spunky, 5-year old, 33-pound whippet who is looking for a great home. He is a happy, outgoing boy who loves everyone he meets, and can steal your heart in no time. Indoors, he’s a snuggle bug who loves nothing more than to cuddle up with you when you watch TV. He would also love to sleep with you all night snuggling closely to keep you warm. When left alone inside, you can usually find him under a blanket happily napping in dreamland. Outdoors, he is a little canine dynamo! Chasing squirrels and birds, running and playing, are top on his list of fun outdoor activities.
Because if his high prey drive, he would not do well in a home with small dogs or cats. But he would love another dog about his size or larger to play with him. Although he is very much an inside dog, he enjoys going for walks or jogs or anything that involves him fully experiencing the great out-of-doors with his favorite people.
Petey is good with children who are gentle with animals. He would be an excellent companion to anyone who shares his enthusiasm for life. Petey would make an excellent addition to the right family who would open their hearts to this loving little boy. Could that be you?
Petey will not be adopted to a home with any dog that is smaller than he is or that does not have a fenced yard with at least a 6 foot fence.

PENNY - ITALIAN GREYHOUND
Penny is a sweet and huggy little lap dog! She loves to snuggle with other iggys and curl up with you to watch tv. At night she hops up in bed, dives under the covers, curls up and sleeps. She also does like to give kisses and just needs someone to love her. She does have a fear of big dogs.

DINO - ITALIAN GREYHOUND
A owner surrender, Dino spent his entire 8 years with the same owner.
He’s a sweet guy who wants to be loved on and cuddled with. He’s shy but will come and lay beside you in a big chair or crawl under the covers and sleep all night long next to you.
He's been to several play dates and dog festivals and had tons of fun running around. He's very friendly with other IGs and LOVES his outtings.
Once he gets over his shyness he is great around kids and other dogs and even our two cats.
Dino is such a sweet and loving dog, he needs a forever home and someone to return his love.

TESS - ITALIAN GREYHOUND
My name is Tess. I am a mature, housebroken iggy. My foster mom has a doggie door I use easily with my other furry siblings. We get along well during the day running and playing together. In the evening, I like to curl up with them and clean their ears. My nature is to nurture other dogs. In my new home I would like to have another relaxed iggy sibling to play and cuddle with in a blanket. At bedtime I am affectionate and love to sleep on my foster mom's feet. During the day I can be a bit stand offish and skittish of loud noises or quick movements, a bit cat like in my ways. My black shiny coat and petite stature make me a pretty sight sitting on the back of the couch sunbathing. I am capable of jumping on chairs to reach bits of food you may leave behind. I have become attached to my foster family and say "hello" with barking as it can be exciting to see the ones I love come back to me. Give me a chance to greet you as you come home!
